As part of MCCP�s initiative to expand the cadre of investigators studying cancer control and prevention issues, the staff of MCCP meet with faculty members who traditionally have not been involved in cancer research. Senior administrators work with these faculty members to identify opportunities to apply clinical and academic interests to cancer control and prevention questions. In addition, the MCCP has developed a Research Resource Team to provide infrastructure and support for these emerging researchers. This team provides assistance with IRB preparation, editing, budget preparation, biostatistics, epidemiologic input, literature searches, and basic grant preparation.
