University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Control Program
Research Resources Advancing Research Through Support (ARTS)

The Markey Cancer Control Program (MCCP) recognizes that the progression of investigators through their research careers is enhanced when they are provided adequate professional support for the development of grant proposals, appropriate mentors, and networking opportunities. The Markey Cancer Control Program has established the ARTS   Advancing Research Through Support program to help provide these services.

Specifics of the ARTS program are outlined below. Investigators interested in cancer prevention and control research will find this program helpful and supportive of their work.

The ARTS program includes a Research Resource Team of professionals who will assist investigators in developing, preparing, and submitting proposals related to cancer control and prevention. Become an MCCP Associate Faculty Researcher and work with our Research Resource Team.

At the Markey Cancer Control Program, we believe that the formation of research work groups is a crucial activity that enables researchers to network and develop innovative research questions. MCCPs faculty and staff welcome opportunities to talk with investigators who are interested in cancer control and prevention research. If you are interested in learning about our researchers and the work we do, contact us and let us tell you more about our programs, and help you select or develop a research work group.

Investigators often need boilerplate language to insert into a grant. In response to this need, the MCCP asked investigators to list the types of boilerplate language they would like to have. We then took their suggestions and started a work in progress encyclopedia of boilerplate language that can be used by all researchers. If the encyclopedia doesnt contain language that you need, contact us and we will develop the language for you.
